The Emberbound warband faces an undead army beside an ash war-beast and a furnace-powered brass ram, beneath an eclipsed volcanic sky.

A new arcade legend

Emberbound

Siege of Ashen Vale

Four exiles. Twelve war-torn stages. One live co-op siege built for the friends who still remember crowding around the same glowing cabinet.

The dream cabinet

The game we spent the ’90s wishing existed.

Emberbound takes the immediate joy of a four-player fantasy brawl and gives it the depth we always wanted: persistent heroes, loot, branching combat, voiced story scenes, party communication, and a warband that can pull one another back from death.

Born from one ’90s arcade addict’s impossible wish list. Side-scrolling warbands, dungeon-sized progression, score-chasing destruction challenges, skill-driven duels, loot hunts, and online party play finally belong to the same original realm.

01

Fight as one

Private four-player rooms, positional combat, unique partner attacks, party text, and opt-in voice.

02

Fall. Rise. Retaliate.

Downed allies call for help. Reach them in time, hold the team action, and resurrect your warband under pressure.

03

Your legend waits

Return after twenty minutes or an entire night. Heroes, weapons, unlocks, and shared campaign progress remain ready.

04

Break the rhythm

Co-op trials and score-chasing bonus rounds interrupt the march—then enormous multi-phase bosses tear it open again.

Choose your exile

Six heroes. Every pairing changes the fight.

Each warrior has a different melee or ranged rhythm, a signature special, unlockable weapons, and a partner ability shaped by who initiates it.

Every tyrant hears the last bell.

Mount. Charge. Overrun.

Some weapons have a heartbeat. Others have a furnace.

The closed Alpha begins with the ash-maned Ashfang Mauler and piston-driven Brass Ram. They are shared battlefield prizes—not cosmetic menus—with server-owned riders, charges, impacts, dismounts, and knock-offs.

The Codex Journal

One prompt lit the forge.

The same rough request went to Claude Code, Grok Build, and Codex. Codex was the clear winner—and what began as a three-agent test became a week-long coding session, a live four-player realm, and a reusable authoritative engine foundation.
